Boy, alot of folks seem to hate RS. I don't know enough about him or
his personality to make a judgment.

All I know about him is his music. From the perspective of a
Bluegrass listener/enthusiast, he really isn't anything more than a
performer. I have his Cracker Barrel disc of old tunes done the BG
way, and they aren't. To him, playing Wheel Hoss everytime you get on
stage makes you the mantle bearer for the genre, I guess.

It seems to me that RS can't produce a new BG tune or song by
himself. He can't even take his own stuff and adapt it the way Bill
would have, so WTF? It seems to me that the Opry seems to hold up
Marty Stuart as heir to Bill's position (if you care what the
corporate Opry thinks).

I'd bet that if someone were to conduct a poll at a BG festival or
walking down any town where BG is popular, asking "Who do you think of
when you think of BG music (must be alive and working)" and not one
would say RS.

Peace out.
