If any of you are looking for an oval hole that has the old Gibson
sound, I'd suggest you seriously look at the Old Waves. They have the
sound of the best old Gibsons, in a new, very affordable instrument.
I own a mandola and octave mando from Bill and have a few students
that have the A oval hole mandolins. Every one I've played is a great
instrument. If I didn't have such a good 1924 A2 myself, I would be
playing one of his mandolins.

If you are looking for one of the more modern sounding oval hole
mandolins, the Weber Old Wood series are very good. Of course, which
of us wouldn't like to have a Gil F4? Hey Tater, when you want to
loan it out, can I stand at the front of the line??
