Well, dang, I think I just replied directly to Mark. Let's see ...
it's funny to think about us all chasing down the same strings while
we're supposed to be working. At least that's what I'm supposed to be
doing. I was about to post the same link to Luke Bulla. Sounds like
Haley's version to me, though people keep walking past my office door,
making it necessary for me to pretend to be doing something I'm being
paid to do. This is a good example of how the little black dots fail
to do justice to music. I don't think I'd ever get to anything like
what Luke or scratchy old Ed are playing just working off the
transcript. I found some simpler versions of the tune, though I don't
know if they're dumbed-down or maybe a simpler root tune. I'm
skeptical, or maybe scared, of the 6/4 measures sprinkled in Baggott's
transcription. I duly paid my 99 cents to the iTunes score to download
the Nashville Bluegrass Band's version to see how Sir Tater deals with
these temporal Twilight Zones. Mike, if you don't get a check for your
cut of the royalty on that, get after Steve Jobs.
