I had already pre-judged this show, John is in my top 5 mandolin pickers
anywhere.

I hate top five/ten lists, but if I had to pick one or five.
1. Tater. It ain't what, it how.
2. Reischman. Plays all the right notes and never plays all of them.
3. Wank Frankfield. He's a maniac.
4. John Avril. See #1.
5. John Duffy. See #3. Well, he was.

I'm with ya on that Clyde. I've watched and heard John a couple other
times and he just didn't do much for me BUT, last night he hit me
right between the eyes and woke me up. He definitely is in the top 5
Pacific Northwest mando pickers for me. SO MUCH FOR THE THOSE
PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS FROM KEEPING ME FROM GOING AND LISTENING. And
that Schwimmer is the shnizz man acouple times i really wondered where
he was goin but would do a about face and land on his feet while still
staying close if not on the melody. He's a mad hatter on that banger.
As for Lee Highway there definitely straight up definition of
Bluegrass fer me.
