I'm wondering if those 6/4 measures in the B part are just the result of a idiosyncratic notation (in the notation in the files section). It ends up being the same number of beats as 8 regular measures with pickup notes at the beginning of the B. It's written out without those 6/4 measures in the Jeff Todd Titon Old Time Kentucky Fiddle Tunes book which is another transcription of Ed Haley.
