Hello,

I was wondering about the reason why Taverna Server currently does not run on
Windows. I had assumed it was Java based but somewhere there must be code that
ties it to the platform (some kind of process forking code?). It would be
interesting to get a bit of background about this restriction and when windows
support can be expected (maybe with the move to OSGI?). The roadmap currently
does not mention it.

The reason I ask is that our use case requires orchestrating a number of
windows-only tools. Wrapping these in a webservice/VM would be overkill it
seems.

Many thanks,

Cheers
Dirk
