Hi Daniel,
On 28 July 2000 at 20:35:38 GMT +0200 (which was 19:35 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject
of "Disaster (was Re: censored. (Sorry, Marck))":

You mean that all of these files now have a zero length. If it were TB
that did it why has no-one else reported the same problem? Perhaps the
early 1.45 beta was that buggy but I wouldn't have thought so.
DM> Access time of the folders are exactly the same.

Maybe, but IMHO it would have done so by now ... and it hasn't.

... if it is a bug, which I still doubt. You have said nothing here
that points to anything TB did. What version were you running before
you installed 1.45b1? Why did you miss out all 12 of the interim betas
and jump straight to the release from square one?
DM> I have no viruses, I'm not a beginner.
So where is the report of the OS and system configuration, other
software in use and environmental considerations to allow any of us to
cast an educated eye over the debris and attempt to work out what went
wrong?

But above you said the files were all there but zero length. Now you
say that there were no files in the folder structure. Which is it?
Look, I fully accept that this has happened to you. However, I have
seen no evidence to warrant blaming TB for the problem you have
experienced. I have seen no reason to support the initial reaction you
expressed to this User Discussion List.
N.B.: I am not one of the authors of The Bat, I do not work for RIT
labs and have nothing to gain by saying it's not TB's fault. I'm just
expressing an opinion based on the evidence.
