FYI, here is the message I just sent to Maxim (to his address, not the list): ***** Hi Maxim, Friday, May 13, 2011, 3:11:19 PM, you wrote: [snip] MM> I don't know, but we can try to figure it out. Please delete or backup and remove those files prior to running The MM> Bat! with /STARTUP_TIMING_LOG. I only found ONE ex_log.txt file on my pc (using Windows 7 search). It was here: G:\My Documents\The Bat\ I renamed the original ex_log.txt file temporarily while I ran TB with the command line you gave me above. The new ex_log.txt generated is attached. As I mentioned, the slow startup disappeared the next time I ran TB, and every time since. I think the delay probably occurs whenever I run a new thebat.exe the first time after an update, including a new .msi file. Thus I don't know if you will learn anything from this attached file. Please let me know if you want me to run a re-test after an update! I could send it in an .rar archive instead, so please let me if that would be better. Have a great work week (hopefully, you can take Sunday off to rest!). ***************** Thanks for your help, Mark! -- Take Care, Bob -- "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."
