Hello Franz, > Anyone (in fact any stupid person or newcomer to all matters computer
> Especially if it's a person you trust send him an email telling him he > should enter "winmail.dat" in Google and search how he can program/change > Outlook so he won't ever attach winmail.dat again. that is rather bold a statement and a stance I would not choose in communication with, say, a customer. Plus, since we're discussing the abilities of our favourite mail client here, let's not go into ideology, and advising people to do something about their stupid customers/mail partners. Rather I'd choose to have a mail client that can look into that winmail.dat for me to see if there is an attachment I expect or not. To my knowledge, not only OL/OE overhead, but also valid attachments can be packed by Outlook in this file format. If Marek Mikus says, TheBat! can read the format for me, I am fully satisfied. -- Best regards, Viktor Kabelac mailto:[email protected] ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 5.0.36.3 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
