This problem can easily be fixed with address book templates and it's these address book templates that allow you to store discussion list *anywhere* without worrying about incorrect sender addressing upon replying. Of course SMTP server limitations may create another set of problems with sending mail via any account. But I'll always encourage those who use multiple remote POP accounts and don't have access to a remote SMTP server that readily relays messages, to run their own local SMTP server.
