I do have a need to ensure the authenticity of some messages I receive and some I send. To that end, I sign messages so that any users of OpenPGP can verify the integrity of the message and its source. > Only instance I HAVE used secured mail, was in e-mail based > negotiation of a confidential contract.. we used Microsoft SMIME > (?) then. I use S/MIME too. In many ways I prefer it, except that is adds a 2kb bloat to every signed message and is not practical on that basis. Fine for private mail, but not so hot for list posting. > PGP is just too complex IMHO It can be complex to install and configure but I find that it can become very simple to handle when used through TB's plug-ins and templates. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator TB! v1.63 Beta/7 on Windows 2000 5.0.2195 Service Pack 2 ' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1rc1-nr1 (Windows 2000) iD8DBQE+ayquOeQkq5KdzaARAuk1AJ0e4bEjlzn7DGCwpaI/Lkm9RKVFmACcDCUa LBkJZsZRJb692aoQEMA2Zek= =jGlo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 1.63b7 | "Using TBBETA" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
