I kind of agree, but mostly disagree. I think another list is not a bad idea to discuss plugin based stuff (as plugins can be filtering, macros etc), as well as things that have been developed that support TB (K9, SpamAssassin, XRay, MyGate etc.) However, too many lists is a Bad Thing (tm). We already have five primary lists for English speakers: TBUDL - General / Newbie help TBBETA - Beta testing TBDEV - Development for TB (plugins etc). TBTECH - The Alpha Geeks of TBness TBOT - Off Topic Plus the new TBADD - For add on stuff to TB This doesn't even take into consideration the multitudes of other TB lists in other languages. (Note to self: take a survey sometime. I'd like to know how many TB related lists and discussion groups there really are <grin>). I'd really hate to see a list for every aspect of TB i.e. configuring, filtering, addressbook, regexps etc. (Yes, arbitrary examples, but filtering can be pretty complex sometimes, and so are regexps). If there are too many lists, then we lose the cohesiveness of a single community, as well as a good portion of the knowledge base. For instance, if Marck, Januk, and Carsten didn't sign up for the regexp list, then arguably, three of the most proficient regexp writers wouldn't be there to help. -- Leif (TB list moderator and fellow end user).
