I use Courier New as my font in the PTV. I use AngsanaUPC (a Thai cont
to which I can this way switch when a message in Thai comes in) in the
HTML viewer, but that should have no effect.

The charset is sent with the message, so you got the same as I. But I
don't have this problem with all HTML messages, those from my mother
display fine. I'll check in the headers for differences.
