In my experience most people find prices higher than zero unfair, at
least for some things: "Geiz ist geil!" ("Meanness is cool!") as one
big electronics shop advertises quite effectively in Germany.
Is it fairer to pay over ? 1000 for Photoshop this year and then pay
up about 2/3 of that price after two years for an update, which
features one long sought after feature?
