There will always be things that some find "stupid" while others enjoy them (no rating of any feature implied). If you don't like Smilies or the Mailchat, chances are you won't like some of the coming features, for example the (accidentally already pre-released) "Wizards". You can start ranting about it, but I think it won't change much.
