That would be fine with me. Even just a checkbox in the prefs to enable/disable the button's fuctionality and include/remove it from the toolbar would be fine with me. In fact, it's a very good idea to make it inactive completely unless someone wants to make it active. The same goes for the whitelisting that was talked about. Even TBird includes an option to disable the ability to whitelist people in the address book. So no, I would have no objections to being able to turn the fuction completely off. It's a very good idea in fact. I wouldn't have expected them to include the ability without a way to disable it too. >>> Are we getting close to consensus here?
