Entirely correct, if brief. See the URLs I detailed for Liz in my

But Tony would never believe any of this, so I have no hope that he
will accept it now. And I'm sure there are others who take his point
of view besides Liz. <friendly smile>

The main thing is that people should have a clear signal that you are
joking, when you are, and a clear signal also when irony or sarcasm
are in play, also.

For me, that has not always been clear in Tony's writing style. But I
myself, I think, can now spot when he means what he says and when he
doesn't.

And I guess it soon gets cleared up, when there is a misunderstanding.
