5-10 minutes to search a folder withless than 2000 messages. That's
kind of unreasonable, I think. Indeed, I thought that it had just
stopped responding until one day I wandered into the kitchen while it
was still running and came back 20 minutes later to see that the
search had finally completed.

And what makes it worse is that clicking the Stop button also does
nothing very quickly, reinforcing the appearance that the Message
Finder has just stopped responding.

What makes it seem to me that the problem is OTFE connected is the
fact that the same search on the same folder in a non-OTFE
installation of TB completes smoothly in a matter of seconds.
