Hello Thomas, V>> So, you think that two copies from mails in Sent folder is correct? > Yes, because you told TB to copy the message from the Sent folder to > the Sent folder.
Wrong. I set to copy it to the created X folder. Not the Sent folder. I dont like when the program "thinks". Do, what I set to do. Nothing else. V>> I prefer sending me a warning message, that "this and this filter V>> is affected if you delete this filter". > It's very easy: If you delete the destination folder, the filters > pointing to it are updated to the default. Anything else would be > buggy. No warning necessary, just some common sense. It is not common sense. WHERE did I say to the program that if the target folder does not exist, then copy it to the Sent mail? Nowhere... V>> I would not say, it is a bug. It is an inconvenience. > No. It works correctly and with logic. anything else would be a bug. > Please tell me what you think should happen if you create a filter > that moves or copies Sent messages to folder X, and then you delete > folder X. Should the filter still point to it? What happens then when > a message meets the criteria? I already answered this question. A warning message that deleting folder X affecting filter "Y". >>> Ah, that then is a bug. I didn't try it, but the message should be >>> moved to the default. V>> The filter should be disabled, at least... > No. the filter might set a colour group at the same time or vperform > other actions. Ok, do that then. > Setting the destination folder to a move/copy action to the default > is more sensible, so that the other actions can still be run. I agree. BUT TB! SHOULD NOT DO what I did not command it to do. You can argue, but you are on the dark side :) What will happen if I copy a mail from the Inbox folder and I delete the destination folder? Two mails in Inbox?? Is it logical or you? I hope not... -- Vili The Bat 3.51.6 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 1 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.51.6 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
