Hi Wayne Howard, Saturday, July 23, 2005 you let us know -at least in parts- :
CF>> I don't know what has been changed from 3.518 to .9 but I don't see TB CF>> keep on running after exit. I close TB, seconds later (usually less than CF>> 1 and never more than 3 or 4 seconds) all purging and compressing is CF>> done and it disappears from desktop and in TM at the same moment. > I only wish I knew why my copy of TB no longer will purge and compress > upon exit, even though I have it set to do so. I faintly remember that some users reported that TB would not do its p&g job on exit anymore since the shutdown-bug was fixed. An active TB suppressed the term signal so windows would simply keep on running just as if you haven't hit the button. As soon as this was fixed, some users reported that TB was dodgy fast on every exit and did some more testing. It ended up AFAIK that TB did not purge & compress at all anymore on forced exit (= Windows shutdown and TB still running) Or on exit at all, this I don't remember. What if you run a manual folder maintenance? Is there lots of stuff to be fixed in maintenance or is the p&g job done at another time? MAU reported today that his copy would be working (and thus being present in TaskManager) for a minute after closing at about 50% CPU load. So there are two opposite behaviours, isn't it? -- kind regards Charlene Ferrara mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! v3.51.9 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Skype: charleneferrara ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.51.9 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
