It is a rare program that removes itself completely from the registry.
For example, Norton's leaves hundreds of entries. Get a good registry
cleaning program and you will see how programs leave their trash
behind.

I just un-installed Peachtree Complete Accounting and it took almost
two hours to remove the hundreds of entries left behind in the
registry. I then ran RegSeeker and found dozens more that were missed.
