No, I don't have the option. I'm asking for the option not to use it,
i.e. the option to accept an expired certificate. If there were a way
to collect mail with a non-secure connection, for example plain on
port 25, other people on this list would hit me. Besides, for security
reasons, this port is closed and only secure connection is allowed,
with the cert expired and the sysad on vacation.

Right now, the only way to read my mail--in the scenario mentioned,
which is not unusual--is to use another one of a myriad of email
clients, most of them free.
