I don't think any of my software should be designed to be a nuisance to me because someone else provides malformed product. Especially when there are user options which will avoid this problem in the first place. Gmail has a perfectly good (as far as I can tell) IMAP interface. It has a fairly reasonable web interface. My choice has been to have my gmail mail forwarded to an account where I can deal with all my incoming email in one place. -- Dwight A.
