What  I  find  is that the format of these messages is *so* diverse, a
different  one  for  every  flavour of SMTP relay server out there. So
there is no single macro to do this per-se.

You  don't  say  what  you  want  to  do  with  these bounces. Was the
intention  to format a command to majordomo to change the subscription
status  of  the  member  whose  mail has just bounced? That would need
greater  intelligence  still,  since  I  have found that many of these
"bounce" messages are created by temporary server problems rather than
anything to do with the hapless member.
