I can't answer the timeout on sending question, but I do have a suggestion for
something else you might want to try. In the account properties for your email
account, go to Options, and set "Periodical checking" to 1 minute. While The
Bat! is running, it will check for mail every minute, thereby preventing the
modem from disconnecting due to idle time. It then will not need to reconnect to
send mail.
