I suspect the Modem disconnecting is because in IE's properties, it
has something about, "Disconnect if Idle"
Or, set the Bat to collect mail through a LAN, dial up and then
collect mail every minute, but I'm not sure whether that's a proper
solution...
Which version of Windows is it that you are using ?
