Yes but this is a reoccurring characteristic of humans. Such was the
attack on Pearl Harbour and that minor anarchist that shot a minor
arch duke that created a series of events ending in World War I.
When such things happen philosophy is soon overwhelmed, as shock now
turns to editorializing then recrimination. On American television the
politicians have emerged from their safe places and have begun to
speak in fierce and defiant tones, while the president quotes the
bible. Be assured that plans for retaliation (on someone) are well
advanced.
Remember Albert Einstein's warning, and give up war; peace will
quickly follow an outbreak of justice.
