Help please, got a panic on here :-) A power outage crashed my Windows
NT 4.0 Workstation machine with TB 1.63 Beta 4 on it. A folder into
which I filter all personal mail was probably open at the time, which I
call "My Freeserve Mail". On restarting the machine NT gave the option
to run Autocheck, and I told it to go ahead. It found one file on my D
drive, where TB is installed was damaged, the file being
D:\Bat\Freeserve\Account.m_d After repair this file was zero bytes in
size. TB opens, all folders seem to work ok except the personal mail one
"My Freeserve Mail", which just uses 100% CPU time and hangs up TB until
I use Task Manager to close it. It's an old PC with a 233 processor and
90 odd megs memory. The 2 files in the relevant folder are messages.tbb
and messages.tbi I believe, both are openable in Notepad, although the
.tbb file, being 38 plus megs, takes an age to open and uses all virtual
memory and stuff.

Is it possible to suggest a fix for this folder, i have loads of parked
messages in it, and I have no backup as I am an idiot... :-( Compressing
it shows an immediate popup claiming it's done with zero space saved,
purging it seems to hang TB again.

Thanks! Please remember that the way TB is currently set up i can't read
direct e-mail replies, although i am about to change settings to leave
mail on server whilst i try and repair things, previously my last 4 days
mail was deleted off the server, but SEEMS to be in the .tbb file,
although Notebook is not an ideal way to try and read it <G>
