You strongly put forward your arguments. He strongly retorts with disagreement. Does he have to agree for him to be exhibiting community spirit. I don't agree with your line of argument either despite my having personal problems with TB! and what is happening with its development. However, I'm not at Ritlabs having to decide which development directions to take after looking over and considering all the wishes and sentiments being expressed by the various users (single/SOHO or corporate licensees) they wish to please. If TB!'s development is not going the way *you* wish it to, you can only voice how *you* feel, hoping that you'll be supported by others and with this support see changes made in the development that goes more your way. When this isn't happening, you have a tough decision to make in that you either put up with things or make a change to another solution. I'm currently in this state, though I'm in a phase where I'm leaning towards staying with TB!. I disagree with demanding that things happen your way because you paid for the software. It's not only you who paid for the software. Others did. If the software is being developed in a particular direction, it's usually done to please some part of the application userbase, i.e., large segments or the majority. They can never please everyone and they cannot make the software bug free in all environments. This is why they have to include that clause in the EULA, i.e., that the licensee is accepting and agreeing to use the software *as is*. They quite rightfully have to protect themselves from unreasonable demands/expectations from customers. > I guess Ritlabs is really happy with its current userbase, I'm sure > its big enough for its needs and don't need to attract new > customers, and of course, could use to loose just a few. Thank you. Not doing what *you* wish RIT to do in terms of TB! development doesn't amount to your conclusions above. -- Allie Martin [List Moderator and fellow end-user] My PGP-Keys: http://key.ac-martin.com The Bat! v2.13 "Lucky" Beta/7 Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2) .....
