The main advantage of using TB in such a setup is that you need only one system to backup any data. That's a major pro in a LAN with a file server, especially in a business environment where data loss costs money. In a home environment without a LAN or without a (dedicated) file server the gain is zero. In a home environment with a (dedicated) file server the longer access time might outweigh the advantages of an easy backup. -- Groetjes, Roelof Windows-Reboot more before 9AM than most users do all day The Bat! 3.70.07 "Qigong" (Beta) Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 1 pop3 account, server on LAN OTFE enabled P4 3GHz 2 GB RAM
