Hi, all,
On 25/09/1999, at 04:51,
Paula Ford (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED])
facing the crowd, asked the gods to bless them and said:

PF> At least this
PF> archive doesn't show our email address in the From field as some do.
... and this, indeed, is fine... but!

As you could see under my sign, I, and some other of us, put my
(their) private e-mail address in the post text, to make private
e-mail easier. This is *not*, at this time, hidden in the archive.

I thought in two way for avoiding spamming uses of this security
weakness :

1- Software removing of anything like "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".
2- Access control of the archive URL : members get a password, others
are kept away.

A more spam killing way may be the software renaming of
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". :))

or "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"... if the addresses collect is not hand
made by the spammer ;-)
in this case, we could wonder what would happen to the spammer if we
use "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" (I don't know if this is the good address) :-D
