 Sure:
 - Ctrl+Plus(+) expands full thread while focus is on message list.
 - Ctrl+] / Ctrl+[ goes to next/previous unread message respectively.
Keys may vary on international keyboards. On German and swiss
keyboards the keys are Ctrl+? and Ctrl+ (left of backspace)

I usually navigate with the arrow keys in the message list. Right
arrow or Plus expands the thread by one level.
