That's exactly my situation.

That's what I do; Netscape mail has the option "automatically send BCC
to:", but in TB, you have to set it up for each folder.

I do that differently: incoming messages from the same account are
filtered into trash and marked read on the "wrong" machine (for
example if I send from my office PC using the home address). I have
the message in the "sent" folder anyway, why keep it twice?

On the home PC (for the home address in this example), I have more
elaborate filters; for example a filter/folder called "Andreas" for a
friend of mine. All incoming and sent messages to/from him are stored
there chronologically, I see no need to seperate incoming and outgoing
mails (to the contrary). So, I need to define two incoming filters:
1.) If his address is the sender (mail is from him), 2.) if his
address is the recipient (I sent a message from my office PC to him,
bcc'ing myself in), and of course an outgoing filter (for when I send
message from my home machine to him).

On the office machine, I don't have elaborate filters/folders for the
private account, and all messages get deleted after 15 days or so.

And vice versa.

Unlike Steve, I do not have synchronous data on both machines; the
mails of the home account are only complete on the home machine (and
the office mails only on the office machine). I don't need them to be
in sync.
