Steve, Leif has stated advantages to Opera having an MDI that are
important to *him*. These happen to be important to me as well. They
happen to outweigh, *for us*, the valid disadvantages that you have stated
which are more important to *you*, hence your personal dislike for the
interface. Don't think for one minute that I am not *already* aware of the
advantages of not using an MDI for browsing. They just happen not to be as
important to me as they are for you.
The fact that Leif's stated advantages are of no importance to you
does NOT invalidate them from being advantages! There's nothing more to
it. If you dislike an MDI for browsing, avoid using one. It's that simple.
