To see it in action, go to a new line, hit <tab>, type a word, then
hit enter to go to a new line. Look where the cursor ends up. Also if
you indent the initial line of a paragraph and start typing, upon
wrapping to the next line the auto-indent feature will place the
cursor at the same indented point as the first line as demonstrated
here. Of course, if you develop the habit of indenting paragraphs,
then the auto-indent feature will get in the way.
