This option restricts you to being able to delete selected blocks of
text only via the Edit|delete menu option. The delete key will not work.
:) I guess it's a safe-guard of sorts for those who tend to accidentally
deselect their selected text.

This is the switch that when enabled, allows you to delete a selected
block of text by simply starting to type within it.
The setup that most people are used to is 'persistent blocks' disabled
and 'overwrite blocks' enabled.

I have no idea what these options are about. I have experimented and
can't seem to detect what they do.
