    Not could, does.  At my work nearly everyone uses Eudora.  We bounce
messages from common departmental mailboxes to individual mailboxes and so on.
I get the damnedable by way of on everything.  Furthermore it is, rightfully,
not removed upon reply so when you reply to someone they know they've been
handed off and how many times unless you remember to manually remove it.  I've
also had messages go from websupport (department box) to webservices
(department box) to me (private) to a coworker in a different department
(private) to one of his coworkers (private) to get done.  We don't need 5 "by
way of's" cluttering up the headers.  Also, at that length, you're running the
risk of hitting the limit on header length.  We do this on a daily basis
because aside from the by way of, it is a perfectly serviceable system.
