I wasn't implying that you should cream your underpants every time you
get notification of a privacy threat by some paranoiac, panic pushing
evangelist. Of course 'reputable' sources are better than the
bedwetting piss-all-over-your-leg excitable types, but reputable
sources don't always get there first.
Sometimes it is the joe-trog emerging from out of the darkness of his
botty sniffing days (the ones that you hate so much) that uncovers
something that is relevant to all and decides that he wants to share
it with all us tolerant people.
However, I ALWAYS follow up new privacy/virus alerts at 'reputable'
sites, just like any sensible person should.
