Morning Allie Martin,
> Why not just use quick templates only? That's all that I use.
As mentioned to Oleg, files are more flexible. (except being unable to use
raletive paths :-( ) But the main idea of this concept is the relational
management per "variables" so a change to one takes effect in all
templates.
> The other thing is that I have abandoned using folder templates.
In my case, I use them for mailing lists that set neither From nor
Reply-To making it impossible to use a address-book template for the list.

Me too. Other than that, the quick templates are for the cases not covered
by the address book.
> You may also create group specific templates.
I have that too...

YES! But now if I did a Reply to sender to you, I'd have the
folder/account template take effect, since you're not in my address book.
But the sig might not be the one I want you to see, which is why I have my
signature qt's. So I type in the sig name and shwoops, it's changed. If I
wanted to show you my real name then I just insert the appropriate qt and
the change takes effect on both the from and the signature. :-)
