Unix has had *better* for years. It's one thing to be able to change the
look of a GUI, and it's another to be able to *change* the GUI. :-) I
wouldn't have even mentioned them in the same breath.

Unix has been around for much longer than windows. Nobody cared really and
they still largely don't. Not until Unix began behaving somewhat like
