Already tried that.  I created a folder called "TEMP" and tried to
drag the corrupted messages to it but TB won't let me do it.

Sorry to be so obtuse but I'm not sure I understand the second
paragraph (above).  In case it matters, with respect to the second
paragraph, the folder containing the corrupted messages has many
non-corrupted messages.  I were to accidently delete them it would
surely hasten my death.
