Hi Zipper,

> Yes, Win2K Pro UK/US Version

Same with mine.

> ClaraNET, Freeserve, Lineone - all UK ISP's.

Ok, I took the drastic step to register an account at Lineone,
since it's free. Then I setup a new account in TB! and tried to
collect mail from this new account 3 times in a roll (in one TB!
session, of course) and it went through uneventfully. Its
welcome message and the test messages I sent to myself are
sitting well in my Inbox right now.

The only thing I couldn't try is the dial-up networking part.
I'm in the U.S. and I surely don't want to dial to a UK ISP.

Lineone did give me a dial up number, so you may want to try it
yourself:

diap-up no.: 0345 002299
email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
account name: testbat
password: 1happybat
smtp: smtp.lineone.net
pop: pop3.lineone.net

I left my test mail on the server, so you can still receive it.
If the problem persists with this account, then either there's
something wrong with the communication between TB! and Win2k's
dial-up networking, or there's something wrong with your account
settings, or some of your other software programs are
interfering with TB's function. Do you have any other programs
than ZoneAlarm running in the background? Does the mail
dispatcher work after you've collect mail once?
