Hi Steve,
On 09 August 2000 at 18:49:13 GMT -0700 (which was 02:49 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject
of "Two Format Questions":

In the real world a user copies a dozen paragraphs from their word
processor and pastes them into an email message. And look ... TB has
given them twelve long lines. Just what they expected ... NOT. Just
what they needed ... NOT.

That's you and me, Steve. It's not all users. Let RIT fix the bug in
auto-format and paste works straight off-the-bat. No messing.
SL> You mean like it was *NEEDED* it to reformat those points
I don't understand what you mean here.
SL> and I did it with the editor just fine? I think you mistake "need"

"for a ha'p'worth of tar". The people who would benefit from the
correction of this bug in auto-format aren't going to use an external
editor or any other reformatting utility. They just want auto-format
to work the same on pasted text as it does on their typing. It's not
unreasonable for software to work as configured and expected, is it?
