Ah, see I separate TBUDL and TBBETA mail. So in my situation, any
messages that are addressed to both need to be differentiated so that
they can go to the individual folders. The string I suggested does
this job beautifully, hence my use of "nicer." I suppose I could
 have chosen a better word.

With the way you have written the string, what is TB searching for?
 Is it,

The strings "Reply-To: TBUDL" or "TBBETA" in the sender fields.

 Or is TB looking for,

The strings "Reply-To: TBUDL" or "Reply-To: TBBETA" in the sender
 fields.

I'm curious as to the function of the | method of making an OR
connection. It has always seemed less ambiguous to me to use the
Alternatives tab for OR relationships in my filter strings.
