Hello TBUDL,

well, it seems according with the interview at ritlabs, that the next
version of the bat is gonna have an integrated newsreader. Now, a lot
of users of this DL seem to be contrary to this idea. I personally am
not certain if it's a good or bad idea. On the one hand I must admit
that newsreading and emailing are kind of related but on the other
hand there is the argument that a program specialized for a specific
task would be better, so it's a better idea to keep the bat as
specialized as possible, before we start creating an email client,
newsreader, browser, etc... all in one and finish having another type
of IE, which can perform a lot of tasks but none of them as good as a
specialized program (like the bat for email) can.

So why am I writing this? I propose we make an opinion poll and if the
majority is against the integrated newsreader we should email ritlabs
and ask them not to make that newsreader. After all I think this DL is
also for trying to make the next versions of the bat according to our
wishes. I wonder why this step hasn't been taken before, or maybe it
has? Don't know....
