This DL is a kind of interactive opinion poll ISFA the RITlabs staff
are members. They sometimes interject and often show that they have
been reading. Our discussions tend to be pretty vociferous and
ofttimes heated.
We *did* have a very lengthy discussion on this topic at the time the
interview was first published which came to pretty much the same
conclusion that you did. Those that said they were in favour of having
news reading capabilities were happy to see it implemented as a
plug-in and those that didn't want it were willing to accept its'
existence as a plug-in. RITlabs are already aware of these issues and
this conclusion.
Your points are perfectly valid and your intentions are clearly
"in-the-right-vein". Don't let this response land as a "put-down" and
please keep the thoughts coming :-).
BTW: another way of getting your input into the ongoing TB project is
to take part in the BETA discussion list.
