I would have to be one to vote against.  I've seen all this before,
when a simple program tries to be a load of other things at the same
time and turns into a bloat or something else horrible.

Some examples from the past of things that have started off simple and
powerful, but turned into feature bloats or other messy results:

Netscape Navigator --> Netscape Communicator
Mirabilis ICQ --> AOL ICQ,
Windows 95 --> Windows 98  (or IE3 --> IE4)
Standard sound drivers --> Creative Live!ware type packages
Linux Kernel --> GNU Linux

So some may be debatable, particularly the latter in this supposed OS
revolution.  But I see all of them as things that started off as
simple and promising, yet ended up with a ton of extra addons and
features that turned them into something horrible.  IMNSHO.
