I left click on folder 2 while holding down the CTRL and ALT keys, drag
it to Folder 1, and voila:

Not that I know of.
None of my account mail folders are in their default locations. In fact
my mail folders are on a separate partition from the TB! install
directory.

You can make the other accounts mail folders subdirectories of another
mail accounts folder. Why would you wish to do this?
Note: account folder - folder seen in TB! interface
mail folder - folder containing an entire accounts mail and
various config files.
