With the test messages you sent me and those I sent myself, TB is
indeed showing the wrong (created) date/time in the mail dispatcher when
connecting to mailandnews.com with IMAP4 protocol. The same messages
would show the right created date/time in TB after being downloaded.
Switching protocol to POP3 and the dispatcher would show the right
date/time, too. (mailandnews.com is a free email server which allow
one to connect via IMAP4/POP3, or to view mail in a web browser.)
Since you don't have the same problem with other IMAP4 servers (this
is the only IMAP4 account I have), I'm not sure whose bug it is. It
would be great if RIT can look into it (mailandnews.com is free
anyway).
The other problem that started this thread, about TB "truncating"
the last two letters when a message isn't ended with a newline,
turns out to be a separate bug, and I'll describe it in a separate
bug report.
