Haha, I started with regex using your example of date-conversion YYYY/DD/MM
into YYYYMMDD from beginning of January. It doesn't matter with what you
start: all regex are difficult the first time

CMIIW, as far as I understood the thing

%REGEXPBLINDMATCH is used for replacement with SUBPATT of the matching text

and

%REGEXPMATCH is used to replace with the whole matching text ??

Am I right?
